Poverty, a scarcity of hope and an excess of fear. Each year, millions of people die due to their inability to access medical care. Simple, preventive ailments like diarrhea can be deadly to a poor child. Their bare, callused feet, dirt-caked faces and tattered clothes relate a story about struggle.  What binds them together is their universal fight to rise above desperate circumstances and to live with dignity. Still, they need our help.
